Here is a short bio on your instructor.
Master Rigoberto Cardenas Jr. is a 6th degree black belt in the Chuck Norris System and a 5th degree black belt in the KICKSTART KIDS program. Rigo was born and raised in Houston, Texas and started the KICKSTART KIDS program in 1992. Master Cardenas has participated in many tournaments nationally and internationally, winning many times in kata and fighting. He is a 9-time CNS World Champion in sparring, 5-time CNS World Champion in kata. He has also won the Chuck Norris Cup in sparring and kata. Master Cardenas was awarded the CNS Male Competitor of the Year in 2007, 2015, and Senior Competitor of the year in 2017. Master Cardenas has taught for KICKSTART KIDS for 15 years at Hogg Middle School.

ITC Kata Montage

A major part of the ITC event is the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT. Participants compete in weapons, kata, sparring, team sparring, BJJ, and demo team. Plaques are awarded for 1st through 3rd place in all age/rank divisions.

Black Belt competitors in forms, weapons, and sparring get to compete for the title of Grand Champion and a chance to win the coveted Norris Cup. There are 10 Norris Cups in total, for various forms, weapons, and sparring divisions. The winners' names are engraved on the cup and they get to keep the Norris Cup for one year. Then next year, it's back up for grabs. So train hard, because the competition is always tough, but winning will be worth it!
