He is also a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with 7 years of dedicated training. His martial arts journey began in 1992, and since then, Master Cardenas has devoted his life to competition, instruction, and mentorship. A highly decorated national and international competitor, his accolades include: 11-time CNS World Champion in Sparring 7-time CNS World Champion in Kata Multiple Chuck Norris Cup Titles CNS Male Competitor of the Year (2007 & 2015) Senior Competitor of the Year (2017 & 2024) Beyond the trophies, Master Cardenas spent 22 years as a KICKSTART KIDS instructor at Hogg Middle School, shaping young lives through discipline, leadership, and character. Through dedication and unwavering focus, he earned his Black Belt in CNS in 1992 under our very own legend, Grand Master Ken Gallacher. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, Kenny expanded his path into the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008, and in 2022 he was promoted to Black Belt in UFAF BJJ. Jason Wilcox: Jason Wilcox, a lifelong martial artist with over 40 years of experience. Jason holds a 6th Degree Black Belt in the Chuck Norris System and a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, bringing a rare blend of traditional martial arts knowledge and modern grappling expertise. His background in higher education and curriculum development allows him to break down complex techniques into practical, real-world applications that students can immediately understand and apply. Jason has also received specialized training in teaching methodology and presentation from the Gracie Family and has played a key role in running Jiu-Jitsu schools and shaping instructional systems. Today, he is an integral part of the growth of UFAF BJJ, committed to deepening the roots of the UFAF family as we continue to build something special together. Instructor Reveal #4 Krystal Alvarez Krystal is a 4th Degree Black Beltwith over 20 years of training in the Chuck Norris System. She has competed across UFAF, NASKA, and Arizona Sport Karate, earning multiple NASKA Top 10 rankings in 2024 and 2025, and capturing the 2024 Norris Cup in Fighting.  Beyond the trophies, Krystal is passionate about helping the next generation grow with focus, discipline, and respect — both on and off the mat.
