Richard Norton is a legendary figure in the world of martial arts, known for his exceptional skill and contributions to various martial arts disciplines. With over six decades of dedicated training and numerous accolades, Norton's martial arts journey is nothing short of extraordinary.

Norton's martial arts odyssey began at a young age when he started training in Judo at the tender age of 11. This early exposure laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion and commitment to martial arts excellence.

In 1970, Norton played a pivotal role in the creation of Zen Do Kai, a martial arts style that garnered global attention. His 10th Degree Black Belt in Zen Do Kai signifies not only his mastery of the style but also his instrumental role in its development in his home country, Australia.

A true highlight in Norton's martial arts career was being personally presented with an 8th Degree master’s Black Belt in the Chuck Norris Martial Arts system by none other than Master Chuck Norris himself. This recognition by a martial arts icon speaks volumes about Norton's expertise and character.

Norton's martial arts journey didn't stop there. He holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Goju-Kai Karate under the tutelage of his first Karate Sensei, Hanshi Tino Ceberano, a 6th Black Stripe in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the legendary Machado Bros and a Level 6 ranking in Uquidokan Kick-Boxing, a discipline founded by the legendary Benny 'The Jet' Urquidez.

Norton also spent over 25 years working as a Personal Bodyguard in the 1970s and 1980s, providing protection to some of the most iconic figures in the music industry, including the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, and the Swedish pop group ABBA.

Aquamarine Illustrated Confetti Congratulations Email Header

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our UFAF Instructor #8

Clara Melendez

Clara Melendez, who will be leading an engaging, transformative, and essential seminar for our young attendees: POWERKIDS SURVIVAL.

The goal of the POWERKIDS SURVIVAL seminar is crucial - teaching children the necessary skills to survive attacks by bullies, predators, and active shooters. Power Kids will immerse themselves in high-energy, interactive scenarios, equipping them with the confidence to activate key strategies that can keep them safe and secure.

Power Kids Survival

Data has shown us alarming trends – 40% of children are bullied at school, 18% cyberbullied. Furthermore, 90% of abused kids know their abuser. The U.S. also faced 656 mass shootings last year (2023). These statistics emphasize the essential need for our children to be prepared, informed, and vigilant.

Our seminar's focus is not only on survival but also on prevention. The seminar will cover nonviolent strategies to tackle bullying. It will provide age-appropriate language and key identifiers to help children communicate, identify potential predators, and form prevention plans.

In the face of an active threat, the PowerKids Survival seminar will enable our young ones to understand and utilize a tactical active aggressor model that embodies "Run, Hide, Fight". By learning these vital skills, our Power Kids will be able to break free from potential victimhood, demonstrating instead their resilience, courage, and quick thinking.
