Adult ITC participants will get to train with Mr. Derrick Stinson. His seminar will work on incorporating open weapon concepts for testing requirements and competition.

Weapons Galore
Weapons Galore is designed for you to discover new techniques to enhance your skills and abilities with the following weapons: Fans, Bo, Sword, Sai and Nunchuks! By choosing one of these weapons, the martial artist will be able to focus solely on one weapon for the duration of the seminar. My team and I will facilitate a seminar that will meet you at your current skill level. We will be sure to challenge you with up to date techniques and concepts that you can utilize for testing and competition. These techniques will be sport orientated but have a traditional foundation/flavor.
Please remember to bring your weapon of choice to the seminar.

Derrick Stinson is an AOK state champion and a five-time UFAF World Champion. Derrick also competed on a professional level of sport karate known as the National Blackbelt League where he was successful in winning tournaments in weapons and in fighting.

Professionally, Derrick Stinson is a Regional Director for Mr. Norris’s Non-Profit organization, Kickstart Kids. He has served in Kickstart Kids as an instructor and administrator for 20 years. Currently, Mr. Stinson works with Juvenile Probation students under the umbrella of his company called Kids Choice/Better Directions. Mr. Stinson focuses on the mentorship of these youth with an emphasis on character development through the Chuck Norris System and sports mentorship.

Derrick has promoted 50+ students to black belt in the KSK organization. While focusing on public service, Mr. Stinson continues to develop a youth program designed to minister to children from all walks of life. Derrick has attained the master rank status in Chuck Norris’s system, achieving a 6th degree Black Belt and was voted Co-Teacher of the Year in Chuck Norris’s System in 2009 by Grand Master Chuck Norris and the UFAF Board of Directors.
