IMPORTANT ITC UPDATE

Hello all UFAF members, As we have mentioned in prior communications, we have been closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19, and we feel at this time, it best for the health and safety of Mr. Norris, his family and all of our UFAF members to postpone the 2020 ITC and 80th birthday celebration for Grandmaster Norris. We are deeply saddened that we will not be able to see all of you in person this year, however, we are looking forward to a great UFAF family reunion and celebration at the ITC 2021 instead. The dates for ITC 2021 are July 15-18th 2021. We have contacted all the seminar presenters who were scheduled to present at the 2020 ITC, and they are all willing to present at the ITC 2021!! And as for Grandmaster Norris’s birthday celebration…. let us just share this Chuck Norris fact with you to answer that question. “Chuck Norris can turn back time, so he can celebrate his birthday whenever he wants!” So yes! We will still be holding a birthday celebration for Mr. Norris at the ITC 2021! We also have some great news regarding the ITC 2020, we will have a “Virtual ITC 2020 Package” available! The Virtual ITC 2020 Package will include a 2020 ITC event shirt, a very special message exclusively to all virtual ITC participants, a training DVD that will include training videos from some of our ITC 2020 seminar presenters, and a promo code to use in the UFAF store online during the Virtual ITC 2020 week that will allow you to get ITC discount pricing for all of the ITC items in the store. We will also have other fun events planned for the week of the Virtual ITC 2020 dates (July 16-19, 2020) so we can still stay connected as a UFAF family. The “Virtual ITC 2020 Package” will be available for just $75 plus shipping! Lastly, we would like to address a few items that we think some members might have questions about. 1- If you have already registered and paid for the ITC, by payment plan or in full, you have a few options that you can choose from. A. You can credit the amount you have already paid for this year toward the ITC 2021 B. You can credit the amount you have already paid toward the Virtual ITC 2020 Package C. You can receive a full refund. 2- If you were approved by Mr. Norris for rank advancement in the Master ranks for the 2020 ITC and you were planning on attending the 2020 ITC, then you will still be promoted at the ITC 2021, and your rank advancement will be credited in the year 2020. (Note-all master rank candidates eligible and approved for promotion must be in attendance at the ITC to be promoted.) 3- If you were planning on registering for an MDS course, we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and if it is possible, we will schedule some MDS courses throughout the year before the ITC 2021. If that is not possible, there will be MDS courses available at the ITC 2021. We will miss seeing you all tremendously, and we hope that everyone will stay safe and healthy. HELLO UFAF MEMBERS! A special part of our ITC event is the Master Rank Induction Ceremony (MRIC). This event celebrates the achievement of students who are being promoted to the Master Rank of 5th Degree Black Belt. Each candidate gives an exciting performance, then their Master Rank jacket passes from hand to hand from every UFAF Board member to Mr. Norris, who then puts the black jacket on the new Master Rank. Ben Jones, 15, began his martial arts journey at the age of 5 and his sport karate journey at the age of 8. He began competing locally and regionally at the age of 6. In 2014, he competed in his first NASKA tournament (Battle of Atlanta) and fueled a love for competition. He currently competes regionally, nationally, and internationally. Mr. Jones thrives on the challenge and camaraderie that competition brings. He holds Black Belts in three different disciplines, including, a Second Degree Black Belt in the Chuck Norris System. Has has World Championships in both traditional and CMX divisions. Benjamin is a member of Competitive Edge Competition Team and is coached by Jackson Rudolph. In 1994, he became the International Training Director for the Chuck Norris System/UFAF and a year later, he was the Director of Operations for Kickstart Kids.
